James and Stacy Papavasiliou were born in Greece and arrived in America in 1960. From a family background of restaurateurs it did not take long to establish the It's Greek to Me name throughout Northern Jersey. It all started in 1986 when James and Stacy, together with their mother, Ero Papavasiliou, opened their first restaurant in Cliffside Park. Ero's home recipes made it an immediate success!
